More resources for job seekers

The city of Chicago is holding a free seminar for people intersted in starting a business on May 13th–they also have events throughout the month for current business owners.  More here.

The University of Chicago’s Graham School has a series of seminars and programs aimed at the job seeker.  Here are a few–Revising Your Resume to Jump Start your Career, Saturday, June 13, $115, Perfecting your Elevator Speech: Selling Yourself in 60 Seconds, Saturday, June 27, $115, Creativity: How to Find it and Feed it, Saturday, June 20, $115

A group called Out of Work Chicago is holding its monthly get together on Wednesday night (5/6) at the Midtown Kitchen ($10 if you register/$15 if you show up at the door).  According to their website,  they’ll have speakers and employers to network with, as well as resume help, and appetizers.
