Downturn Dish: Web to the Rescue

Cheap Eats is great.  It’s funny, there are a ton of recipes including Home Fries and a failed recipe for Homemade Gatorade.  Not every kitchen experiment turns out well. 

The 99-cent chef is also worth checking out.  It’ll give you a new perspective on dollar stores–where a lot of the ingredients come from. 

Check out this thread on Chowhound–it includes recipes for things like Vietnamese Braised Chicken Thighs.  And, for even cheaper eating (<$3 a meal) check out this Chowhound posting.
